This project focused on creating a vibrant and engaging visual experience for a state lottery scratch-card game. Players interact with digital scratch cards that mimic the real tactile experience: each card contains a hidden field that must be erased to reveal potential winnings.
The core goal was to capture the excitement of physical scratch cards while enhancing it with lively animations, bright visuals, and satisfying win-state effects that make every interaction feel rewarding.

The client approached Whimsy Games with the task of transforming traditional lottery scratch cards into a modern digital format. The objective was to create visually appealing cards, dynamic animations, and an engaging user experience—while staying within a strict budget and ensuring fast delivery. The project required balancing state-lottery compliance, visual clarity, and entertainment value, resulting in a polished scratch-mechanics experience optimized for broad audiences.

Role of PO

The collaboration was highly iterative, with frequent feedback loops to ensure the art style, animations, and win-state effects aligned perfectly with the client’s vision.
The client directed the thematic and stylistic aspects of the scratch cards, while Whimsy Games focused on bringing those concepts to life through high-quality 2D artwork, dynamic animations, and engaging visual effects. Communication was continuous, allowing for rapid adjustments and refinements throughout the project.
